HomeMy WebLinkAbout2463 ORDINAi~CE NO. 2463 AN ORDINANCE relating to 'the establishment of voting precincts and amending Sections 2 and 56 of Ordinance No. 1781 and Section 29 of Ordin- ance No. 2081 and adding to Ordinance No. 1781 Sections 34, 38 and 45. THE CITY OF BRE~IERTON DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Section ~ of Ordinance No. 1781 is hereby sm~ended !to read as follows: Section 2. ~recinct No. 1o Beginning at the most Southerly point of ct 6, Block 6, oX Anderson's Bay View Addition to Port Orchard, said point eing on the northwesterly margin of Primary State Highway No. 9.1; thence Southwesterly along the Northwesterly margin of said State Highway 21 a distance of 206.3 feet; thence Northwesterly' along the corporate City lim- its of Bremerton to the Northwesterly margin of Lafayette Avenue; thence Northeas~:erly along the Northwesterly margin of Lafayette Avenue to its intersection with the Southwesterly boundary of Lots 1 and 6 of An~Jerson~s Bay View Addition to Port Orchard extended Northwesterly; the~ce Southeast- erly alon~ said Southwesterly boundary of Lots 1 and 6 to the point of beginning. Section 2. That Section 56 of Ordinance ~1o. 1781 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 56. Precinct No. 54. Beginnina. at the ~ntersection of the South margin of Sheridan Road and the East margin of Lot 9 of Manette Villa tracts extended South (said East line being the existing; tity limits line); thence North along said Oity limits line an~ continuing '~i~'esterly and South- erly along the City limits line until it intersects 'the South margin of Sheridan Road; thence Easterly along the South margin of Sheridan Road to the point of beginning. Section 3. '~hat Section 29 of Ordinance No. 2061, which amends Ord- inance No. 1781, is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 29. Precinct~ No. 28. Beginning at the intersection of the North margin of 9th Street with the East margin of Rainier Avenue; thence North along the ~ast margin of Rainier Avenue to the Oouth margin of llth Street; thence West along the South margin of llth Street to the East mar- gin of Callow Avenue; thence North along the East margin of Callow Avenue to the South margin of 15th Street; thence West along the South margin of 15th Street to the West margin of Lafayette Avenue; thence North along the West margin of Lafayette Avenue to the North boundary of Haddon School; thence west along the North Boundary of Haddon School to the East boundary of the plat of C. Jac~ Jones Addition; thence South along the East boundary of said plat to its South boundary; thence West along the South boundary of said plat and i~s extension ~est to the West margin of Corbet Drive (said VVest margin of Corbet Drive bei~la~ the existing City lisits); thence follow- ing 'the ~ity limihs line until it intersects the East margin of For~ Ave- nue; thence South along the East margin of Ford Avenue to the North margin of 9th Street; thence East along the North margin of 9th Street to the point of beginning ~ Section 4. Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerling of Marine Drive with the North South section line common to Sections 9, 10 and 15, 15, Township ~4 North, Range 1 East, W.Mo; thence ORDINANCE NO. 9463 (Con't) South along said cen::~erline -to its intersection with the MeanRer Line; thence Southerly and Northerly along the Meander line (said Meander line being the 'boundary line of the Peninsula known as Marine Drive) to its intersection with the Northwest corner of Lot 11 of the Plat of Kean's Beach; thence South along the ~:,'est line of said Lot 11 to its .intersection with 'the centerline of Marine Drive; thence SoutherlY along the centerline of Marine Drive to the point of beginning. Section 5. That there is hereby added to Ordinance No. 1781 Section 38 which reads as follows: Section 38~ Precinct No. 37. Beginning at the intersection of 'the centerline of 19th Street and Ford Avenue; thence North along the center- line of Ford Avenue to its termination point; 'thence Northeasterly in a straight line to the Southwest corner of Lot 4, Block 5, of Broadview Add- ition; 'thence Northerly along the West line of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Block b of said plat to the South boundary of Block 1 of Adams Replat of part of Sheridan; thence ~ast alon~ said South ~oundary to the Southeast corner of Lot 1 of Block t of said plat; thence Northerly' along the West line of Lots 1 -through 8 of said plat to its intersection with the centerline of 25th Street vacated; 'thence West along the centerline of said 25th Street vacat- ed to its intersection with the centerline of East Phinney Bay Drive; thence Northeasterly along the centerline of East Phinney Bay Drive to the center- line of 26th Street; 'thence continuing Northerly along the centerline of East Phinney Bay Drive to its termination point; thence West to the Govern- ment Meander Line; thence Southerly along the Government Meander Line to its intersection with the centerline of Corbet Drive extended North; thence Southerly along the centerline of Corbet Drive to the centerline of 19th Street; thence Easterly on the centerline of 19th Street to the point of beginning. Section 6. That there is hereby added-to Ordinance No. 1781 Section ~45 which reads as follows: Section 45. Precinct No. 45. Beginning at 'the point of intersection of the North margin of Marine Drive with the North South Section line com- mon to Sections 9 and 10, Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M.; thence North along said Section to its intersection with the ~eander line; thence Northerly along the Meander line (said Meander line 'being the East Bound- ary line of the peninsula known as Marine Drive) to its intersection with the Northwest corner of Lot 11 of 'the Plat of Kean's Beach; thence Souther- ly alon~ the ~est line of Lot 11 of said Plat to its intersection with the centerline of Marine Drive; thence Southerly and Easterly along the center- line of Marine Drive to its intersection with the North South section line common 'to Sections 9 and 10, Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M.; thence South along said North South section line co~.,~aon to Sections 15 and 16 and to i-ts intersection with the Meander Line; thence Southerly along said Me- ander Line to its intersection with the ~orth line of the Southwest quar- ter of Section 15, Township 24 No?th, Range 1 East, W.M.; thence East along said North line of the Sout'hwest qmarter of Section 15 to its intersection with the ~est line of the Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 15; thence South alon~ said '~'est line to its intersection with the North margin of 9th Street extended West; thence East along the margin of 9th Street to its intersection wit[h 'the Northwesterly margin of Kitsap Way ~primary Sta'te Highway No. 21); thence Northeasterly along said Northwesterly margin of Kitsap Way to its intersection with the West margin of Charlotte Avenue extended North; thence North alon6 said ~est margin of Charlotte Avenue to its intersection with the East West censerline of Sec- tion 15, Township 24 North, Ran~:~e 1 East, W.M.; thence East along said cen- terline to its intersection with the Northwesterly margin of Kitsap Way; thence Northeasterly along the Northwesterly margin of said Kitsap Way to' its intersection with the Northeasterly margin of Marine Drive; thence Northwesterly along said Northeasterly margin of Marine Drive to the Point of Beginning.
