AN ORDINANCE relating to the collection of refuse in
the City of Bremerton; determining the charges there-
for; providing for the levying of a franchise tax and
additional taxes; repealing Ordinances Nos. 2369~2147,~'-
1991~"1936,~1940~and Section 7~f Ordinance No. 1928,~-
and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Ordinances Nos. 2369, 2147, 1991, 1936,
1940 and Section 7 of Ordinance No. 1928 be and the same are hereby
repealed.
Section 2. That the Schedule of charges to be made by the
contr&ctor to the residents of the City of Bremerton and the users
of the contractor's service are as follows=

Customers shall be classified in one of the above categories on the
basis of average weekly collection~ Ail premises occupied during
all or any part of a given month shall be charged a minimum $1.35
for garbage service, whether any collections were actually made or
not, subject to the occupant proving that there was no garbage or
refuse of any kind created or accumulated which the garbage collector
could have collected.
In the West Park Housing area the charge shall be $1.55
per occupied unit month. This charge is for one can per week.
Where collections are made .more often than once a week,
but the number of cans is less than twenty-five per month, the
charges shall be in accordance with the rates set out above.
Where it is permissible to collect rubbish for pick up in
other than garbage cans, it shall be charged for as if it had been
placed in such cans of regular size.
