AN O~N~ accepting and inc~porating ~nto the
corporate l~its of the City of ~~ton certain
~~ land lying outside the l~its of the City of
~ ~ ~emerton and being contiguous to the City of
~~ton and declaring an emergent.

Section 1. ~eas, a petition signed ~ the ~ners of
more than seventy-five p~ cent (75%) of the prop~ty hereinaft~
des=lbed, in value acceding to the assessed valuation for taxa-
tion of said property, has been filed with the City Council of
the City of ~emerton and the Co~cil has d~ected t~t notice of
the hearing of the petition be given and, thereaft~, a p~lic
hearing was held on the 10th day of ~y, 1961, and foll~ing such
p~lic hearing the City Council has det~mined to annex said
des=ibed pr op~ty.
Section 2. T~t the foll~ing-des~ibed tract of land
is h~e~ and ~ this ~dinance adopted and incorporated w~kin
and becomes a part of the City of Bremerton, to-wit:
That p~tion of Section 10, T~nship 24 North,
Range 1 East, W.M.~ including p~tions of the plat
of Phinney Bay Wat~ ~ont Trac~ as p~ plat
recorded in Vol~e 4 of plats, page 17, records of
Kitsap County, Washington~ View Ridge Addition, as
per plat receded in Vol~e 6 of plats, page 25,
rec~ds of Kitsap cowry, Washin~on~ Ada~ Replat
of a part of Sh~idan, ~s ~ plat recorded in
Vol~e 6 of plats, page 8, rec~ds of Kitsap County,
~s~ngton~ and Block 5, ~dview, situated in the
vacated plat of Sh~idan, as p~ plat receded ~n
Vol~e 6 of plats, page 39, records of ~tsap Co~ty,
Washington, also being portions of Gov~ent Lots 6,
7 and 8 in said Section 10, m~e particularly des-
cribed as roll.s =
Beginning at an intersection of the centerlines of
Nineteenth Street and Ford Avenue~ thence West~ly
along the centerline of Nineteenth Street to an
intersection with the centerline of Corbet Drive
(formerly Phinney Ave.) to Phinney Bay Drive~ thence
continuing Northerly along the centerline of Corbet
Drive extended to an intersection with the Govern-
ment Meander Line of Phinney Bay~ thence continuing
Northerly along the Government Meatier Line of
Ph~nney Bay to an intersection with the present City
L~it Line and the Government Meander Llne~ thence
Easterly and Southerly along the present City Limit
Line to an intersection of the centerline of Nine-
teenth Street and the centerline of Ford Avenue, the
point of begi~ning for this description.
Section 3. That an emergency exists and this ordinance
is necessary for the £mmediate preservation of the public peace,
property, health and safety of the citizens of the City of Bremerton
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect following
passage and publication.
PASSED UNANIMOUSLY by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this 10th day of May, 1961.
