'~'~'/[~AN ORDINANCE accepting and incorporating into the
'~*~corpo~ate limits of the City of Bremerton certain
_ r~ '' land lying outside the 1]Jnits of the City of
Bremerton, zoning a portion thereof to B-2, and
declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES G~DAIN=
Section 1. Whereas, a petition signed by the owners of
more than seventy-five per cent (75%) of the property hereinafter
described, in value according to the assessed valuation for taxa-
tion of said property, has been filed with the C*~¥ Council of the
City of Bremerton and the Council has directed that notice of the
hearing of the petition be given and, thereafter, a public hearing
was held on the 8th day of 1961, and following such
p~blic hearing the City Council has determined to annex said des-
cr ibed pr operty.
Section 2. That the following-described tract of land
is hereby, and by this ordinance adopted and incorporated within
and becomes a part of the City of Bremerton, to-wit:
That portion of Sections 9 and 16, Township 24 N,
Range 1 E, W.M., including portions of Block 1,
Brentwood Park Addition ms per plat recorded in
Volume 5 of plats, page 6, records of K~tsap County,
Washington~ Kean's Shore to Shore Park as per plat
recorded in Volume 3 of plats, page 55, records of
Kitaap County, Washington; Madrona Point as per plat
recorded in Volume 5 of plats, page 2, records of
Kitsap County, Washington, also being portions of
Government Lots 4 and~5 of said Section 9, and
Government Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, of said Section 16,
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Northerly
right of way line of Primary State H~ghway No. 21
and the Westerly margin of County Road No. 32; thence
Northerly along the westerly margin of County Road
No. 32 to its intersection with the Northerly line of
Government Lot 4; thence Westerly along said line to
~tS intersection with the North-South center-section
line of Section 16, being the Easterly margin of
Brentwoo~ Drive; thence NOrtherl~.~long said center-
section line to its intersection wl~h the Southerly
margin of Beach D~ive; thence Westerly along the
Southerly margin of Beach Drive to its intersection
with the Westerly margin of Brentwood Drive; thence
Northerly along the Southerly extension of the
Westerly lot line common to Lots 1 thru 15, Brentwood
Park Addition to its intersection with the section
line co~uon to Sections 9 and 16, Township 24 North,
Range 1 East, WoM.; thence Westerly along said section
line 36.78 feet; thence North 208 feet; thence East to
the Government meander line of Ostrich Bay; thence
following said meander line Southerly, Easterly,
Northerly to the tip of M~rona ~oint~ thence continuing
along said meander line Easterly, Southerly and Westerly
to its intersection with the existing Clt~-'L~m~t~: Line
on Oyster Bay~ thence following the existing City Limits
Line Southerly and Westerly to the point of beginn~ng.
Section 3. That the following-described tract of
included within the above-described property is hereby zone~ B-2

That portion of Government Lot 4 describeO as
Beginning at the N~ intersection of Shorewood Drive
and State H~ghway No. 21~ thence running Northerly
along the East boundary of said Shorewood Drive
100 feet more or less; thence East 240 feet more
or less; thence Southwesterly to the North boundary
of said State Highway No. 21~ thence West along the
North boundary of Highway 21, 220 feet to the
point of beginning, all in Section 16, Township 24
North, Range 1 E~st, W.M.
Section 4. That an emergency exists and this ordin~nce
is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
property, health and safety of the citizens of the City of
Bremerton and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
following passage and publication.
PASSED unan~uously by the City Council of the City of
B~emerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
authentication of such passage this 8th day of ~ 1961.
