fixing of the boundaries of PrecinCts No. 43
and No. 54; amending Section 56 of Ordinance
No. 1988 and adding a new Jectior~ No. 43, .~o
Ordinance No. 1781; and declaring an emergency.
T~E CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 56 of Ordinance No. 1988 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 56. Precinct No. 54. Beginning at the
intersection of the South margin of Sheridan
Road with the Southerly extension of the Easterly
line common to Tracts 9, 11, 12, and 13 of the
Plat of Manette Villa Tracts; thence Northerly
along said line of said plat, to its intersection
with the Northerly line of Lot 13 of said plat;
thence Westerly along said North line of Tract 13
of said plat to its intersection with the East
margin of Pine Road; thence Southerly along the
East margin of Pine Road to its intersection with
the Westerly extension of the Northerly line of
the South 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast
1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 11, Township 24
North, Range 1 East, W.M.; thence Westerly along said
Northerly line to its intersection with the Westerly
line of the South 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of the
Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 11,
Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M.; thence Southerly
along said Westerly line to its intersection with the
Easterly extension of the North line of the Plat of
Sierra Terrace; thence Westerly along said line to
the Northwest corner of Lot 14 of said plat; thence
Southerly to the Southwest corner of Lot 9 of said
plat; thence Easterly along the Southerly line of
Lots 9 and 8 of said plat to its intersection with
the existing city limits line; thence Southerly along
the city limits line to its intersection with the
South margin of Sheridan Road; thence Northerly and
Westerly along the South margin of Sheridan Road to
the point of beginning.
Section 2. That Ordinance No. 1781 is hereby amended by
adding thereto a new section, No. 43, to read as follows:
Section 43. Precinct No. 43. Beginning at the
intersection of the South margin of Fifth Street
and its intersection with the centerline of
National Avenue~ thence Westerly along the South
margin of Fifth Street to its intersection with the
West margin of Pershing Avenue~ thence Northerly
along the West margin of Pershing Avenue to its
intersection with the North line of the South 1/2
of Lots 1 through 14 of Block 6 of National City
Addition~ thence Easterly along said North line to
its intersection with the centerline of National
Avenue~ thence South along National Avenue to the
point of beginning.
Section 3. In order that the residents of Precincts No. 43
and No. 54 may Vote in the primary election scheduled for February 14,
1961, within the City of Bremerton~ it is necessary that the effective
date of this ordinance be prior to said time~ that an emergency exists
and is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance is necessary for
the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare of
the citizens of the City of Bremerton.
PASSED UNANIMOUSLY by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this 25th day of January, 1961.
