AN 0~I~NCE accepting and ~ncorporating into the
corporate l~lts of the City of Bremerton c~tain
land lying outside the l~its of the City of
Br~ton and being contiguo~ to the City of
Bremerton and declaring an ~ergen~.
T~ CI~ OF BR~RTO~ DOES O~AIN:
Section 1. ~eas, a petition signed by the ~n~s of
more than seventy-five per cent (75~) of the property hereinaft~
des~lbed, in value according to the assessed valuation for taxa-
tion of said property, has been filed with the City Council of
the City of Br~erton and the Council has d~ected that notice of
the hearing of the petition ~ given and, thereafter, a p~lic
hearing was held on the llth day of January, 1961, and following
such p~lic hearing the City Council has det~mined to annex said
des~ ibed property.
Section 2. That the foll~ing-des~ibed tract of land
is h~eby, and by this. ~dinance, adopted and incorporated within
and bec~es a part of the City of Br~ton, to-wit:
That portion of Manette Villa ~acts, as recorded
in Vol~e 4 of Plats, page 95, records of Kitsap
Co~ty, Washington, and that portion of the north-
east quarter of the northwest quarter, Section 11,
T~nship 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M., more par-
tic~larly described as foll~s:
Beginning at the intersection of the center-
lines of Pine Road and Sh~idan Road; thence easterly
mlong the cent~line of Sh~ldan R~d to its inter-
section with the southerly extension of the easterly
line of ~act 9, ~nette Villa ~acts, said line also
being the easterly line c~on to Tracts 11, 12 and
13, Manette Villa ~acts; thence n~therly along
said line to its intersection with the northerly line
of Tract 13 of said ~nette Villa ~acts; thence
west~ly along said line to the east margin of Pine
Road; thence southerly along said margin to the
easterly extension of the northerly line of the south
half of the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter
of the northwest qmarter, Section 11, Township 24 N,
Range 1 E, W.M.; thence westerly along said line to
the northwest corner of the south half of the north-
east quarter of the northeast quarter of the northwest
quarter; thence southerly along the westerly line of
said northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of the
northwest quarter to its intersection with the existing
city limit line of the City of Bremerton, as it existed
on September 19, 1960~ thence following said city limit
line easterly and southerly to its intersection with
the centerline of Sheridan Road; thence easterly along
said centerline to the point of beginning.
Section 3. That an emergency exists and this ordinance
is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
property, health and safety of the citizens of the City of Bremerton
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect following
passage and publication.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this llth day of January, 196~.
