OTHER ORDINANCES AND/OR PARTS OF ORDINANCE~ IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the increased ~:ost of living has made the present salaries of the officers and
members of Police and Fire Departments of the City of Bremerton inadequate to maintain a
decent standard of living and raises are necessaa-y,
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. From and after the date of the adoption of this ordinance, the compensation of
the several officers and members of the Police and Fire Departm.ents of the City of Bremerton
shall not be less than as set out below:

Section 2. That in addition to the above minimum salaries, each officer or member of the
Police and Fire Departments of the City of Bremerton shall receive after five (5) years service,
$5.00 per month; after ten (10) years service, $I0.00 per month; after fifteen (15) years service,
$15.00 per month; and after twenty (20) years service, $20.00 per month. That longevity pay
as herein defined shall be part of the basic salary and attached to the position of each. o~cer or
member of the Police and Fire Department.
Section 3. That Ordinance No. 2203 and all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinan'ce sh~/ll be in full force and effect on and after the 1st day of
January, 1963.
