Health and Safety; requiring a permit and inspection for the
installation or alteration of ~plumbing and drainage systems;
defining certain terms; establishing minimum regulations for
the installation, alteration, or repair of plumbing and drain-
age systems and the inspection thereof; providing penalties
for the violation thereof; and repealing Ordinance No. 1457.~-'
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section .1. That a certain document, three copies of which
are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Brem-
erton, marked and designated as Western Plumbing 0ffical's
Uniform Plumbing Code, 1961 Edition, and appendices, is hereby
adopted by this reference pursuant to the provisions of Section
35.21.180 Revised Code of Washington, as the offical Plumbing
Code of the City of Bremerton.
Section 2. The following sections contained in the Western
Plumbing Offical's Uniform Plumbing Code, 1961 Edition, and the
appendices thereto, shall be deemed to be deleted and onmitted
fromsuch Code as adopted by this Ordinance and such sections
shall not constitute a part of the Offical Plumbing Code of the
City of Bremerton. Part I and Part II andd'~ J/~/~ ;~ are
hereby deleted and omitted.
Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Bremerton shall
keep on file in his office at least three copies of such suggested
Western Plumbing Offical's Uniform Plumbing Code, Edition of
1961, for the use of the publi'c and as reference, and shall provide
for such additional copies for sale or distribution to such persons
interested as shall be determined by the City Council.
Section 4. That the term "Administrative Authority" as used
in the Uniform Plumbing Code shall be the Commissioner of Public
WOrks and Utilities and his authonized_.r_~epresentatives, for the City
of Br emer ton
Section 5. That Ordinance No.1457 be, and the same, is hereby
repealed.
Section 6. Violation of or failure to comply with the pro-
visions of this Ordinance shall subject the offender to a fine in
the sum of not to exceed $300 or to imprisonment in the city jail
for a term not to exceed 90 days Or to both such fine and imprison-
ment.
