for the acquisition of land for park purposes and
declaring an emergency.
TH~ CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. There is hereby established the item, Land I,
Capital Outlay, Miscellaneous - General in the 1964 budget and there
is hereby appropriated to said item the sum of $35°725.00 from the
general fund, for the purpose of acqu].ring approximately forty-two
(42) acres of land in the U.S. Naval Ammunition Depot, Bangor, Bremerton,
Washington, for park purposes.
Section 2. That subsequent to the adoption of the 1964
budget the City of Bremerton made written application and bid for
said property and it could not have been reasonabl~ foreseen at the
time of the adoption of said budget that the bid and application for
said property would be accepted and that the City would have to pay
the foregoing sum and that an emergency exists and is hereby declared
to exist affecting the public peace, health, safety and welfare of
the City of Bremerton and this ordinance shall take effect immediately
following passage and publication.
APPROVED on first reading this 15th day of January, 1964.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this ,~,~ .~day of January, 1964.
