AN ORDINANCE annexing and incorporating into the
corporate limits of the City of Bremerton certain
unincorporated areas lying outside the limits of
the City of Bremerton and being contiguous there-
to, declaring the zoning classification thereof,
and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Whereas, a petition signed by the owners of more
than seventy-five per cent (?5%) of the property hereinafter described,
in value according to the assessed valuation for taxation of said prop-
erty, has been filed with the City Council of the City of Bremerton and
the Council has directed that notice of the hearing of the petition
be given and, thereafter, a public hearing was held on the 21st day
of April, 1966, and following such public hearing the City Council has
determined to annex said described property.
Section 2. That the following described tract of land is hereby
annexed to and incorporated within the corporate limits of the City of
Bremerton, to-wit:
Beginning at the point of intersect~n of the westerly extension
of the South line of Lot 14 of the Plat of Sylvan Park and
the centerlin~ of the State Highway No. 21-B, said point
being on the existing City Limits Line; thence North along
the centerline of said State Highway No. 21-B to the center-
line of the Riddell Road thence East along the centerline
of Riddell Road to the northerly extension of the center line
of Almira Drive as shown on the plat of Edgewood; thence
South along said centerline of Almira Drive to the Southeast
corner of the NW 1/4.of the NW 1/4 of Section l, T 24 N.,
i East., W.M.; thence West along the South line of said NW
of the NW ~/4 of said Section I to its intersection with the
centerline of Maple Avenue; thence south along the centerline
of Maple Avenue to the centerline of Ivy Raod, thence West
along the centerline of Ivy Road to its intersection with
the Northerly extension of the East line of Lots l~, 15 and 16
of the Plat of Sylvan Park; thence South along the East line
of said Lots l~, 15 and 16 to the South line of Lot l~ of
said plat; thence West along said South line of Lot l~ to the
point of beginning; Kitsap County, Washington.
Section 3. That the property hereby annexed to and incorporat-
ed within the corporate limits of the City of Bremerton shall, after
annexation, Continue with that zoning classification as nearly com-
parable to the classification it held prior to annexation which is

found and declared to be Business three (B-B), said Business three
zoned real property, a part of the heretofore described annexed prop-
erty, is more fully described as follows:
The West 150 feet of the following described property:
Portion of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter
of section 1; township 24 North, range 1 east, W~M. des-
cribed as follows: Beginning at a point which is north
3e24'20'' East 313.79 feet and south 88°57'30'' east 30.06
feet from the southwest corner of the southwest quarter
of the northwest quarter of said section l; thence south
88°57'30'' east 623.31 feet; thence north 3°05'15" east
94.57 feet; thence north 88°57'30" west 622.79 feet,;
thence south 03°24'20'' west 94.59 feet to the point of
beginning, Kitsap County, Washington
The west 300 feet of the following described tracts:
(A) That portion of section l, township 24 north, range
i east, W.M., in Kitsap County, Washington, describ-
ed as follows: Beginning at a point north 3°24'20''
east 502.97 feet and south 88°57'30'' east 30.06
feet from the southwest corner of the southwest
quarter of the northwest quarter; thence south
88°57'30'' east 622.26 feet; thence north 3°05'15''
east 94.57 feet; thence north 88°57'30'' west 621.74
feet; thence seth 3°24'20'' west 94.59 feet to the
point of beginning.
(B) The north half of that portion of the southwest quarter
of the northwest quarter section l, township 24 north,
range I east, W.M., described as follows: Beginning
at a point which is north 3°24'20'' east 408.38 feet
and south 88°57'30" east 30.06 feet from the southwest
corner of said southwest quarter of the northwest
quarter thence south 88°57'30" east 622.79 feet;
thence north 3°05'15'' east 94.57 feet; thence north
88°57'30'' west 622.26 feet; thence south 3°24'20''
west 94.59 feet to the point of beginning; Kitsap County,
Washington.
That portion of the southwest quarter of the northwest
quarter section l, Township 24 North, Range I East, W.M.,
described as follows:
Beginning at a point which is south 88°22'39" east 30.02
feet and south 3°51'40'' west 175.13 feet from the northwest
corner of said southwest quarter of the northwest quarter;
thence continuing south 3°51'40'' west 208.93 feet; thence
south 88°22'57'' east 280 feet; thence north 3°51'40''
east 208.93 feet, more or less, to a point which is south
88°22,39'' east from the point of beginning; thence north
88°22'39'' west to the point of'beginning; Kitsap County,
Washington.
The west 120 feet of the following described tract: That
portion of the .SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4, Section i T 24 N, R 1
E, W.M~., described as follows: Beginning at a point which
is S88°22'39" E 30.02 feet from the NW corner of said SW
of the NW 1/4; thence continuing S 88°22'39'~along the
northerly line of said SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4, a distance of
617.40 feet; thence S 3°32'28'' W along the westerly margin
of Maple Avenue a distance of 115.06 feet to the northerly
margin of Hollis Street; thence westerly along said north-
erly margin 618.04 feet; thence N 3°51'40'' east 115.09 feet
to the point of beginning Kitsap County, Washington.

The North 660 feet of the West 660 feet of the
~ 1/4 of the ~ 1/4, Section l, Township 24 North, Range
1 East, W.M., Kltsap County, Washington.
Section 4. That all of the property a~exed to and incorporated
within the corporate limits of the City of Bremerton shall be and it
hereby is annexed as Residential One (R-l) saving and excepting as
set forth in Section B above.
Section 5. That an emergency exists and this ordinance is
necessary for the i~ediate preservation of the public peace, property,
health am safety of the citizens of the City of Bremerton and this
ordi~nce shall be in full force and effect following passage and
publication.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication
of such passage this~ day of t.m~ ,1966.
