Improvement District No. 289, providing for the improvement of the alley
located in Block l, First Addition to Sylvan Park, as in said Ordinance
described; providing for the levying and assessing for the costs and
expenses thereof against the parcels and lots of land within the boun-
daries of said improvement district; providing for the collection thereof;
creating and establishing a special fund therefor; and fixing the date
for the issuance of an installment~in payment thereof.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the Assessment Roll for Local Improvement District
No 289 providing for the improvement of the alley located in Block l,
First Addition to Sylvan Park, by grading, ballasting and the construction
of necessary drainage structures, together with the doing of any and all
other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make such
improvement a complete Job, all in accordance with the plans and speci-
fications on file in the Office of the City Engineer and as provided
by Ordinance No. 2516, the same is hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as
shown in said assessment roll is specially benefited by said improve-
ment and that there be and is hereby assessed against each parcel and lot
of land and part thereof and other property contained in said improvement
district as shown in said roll, including any property belonging to the
City of Bremerton and the respective amounts in said roll set against
each parcel and lot of land, abutting upon, adjacent or proximate to said
improvement, and such amounts so assessed are hereby declared to be first
lien against each parcel or lot or part thereof against which the same is
assessed in said roll.
Section 3. That for the purpose of this improvement there is here-
by created and established a special fund to be known as "Local Improve-
ment Fund District No. 289. An "Installment Note" as authorized by Chap.
165, Laws of 1961, bearing interest at 5%, in the amount necessary to pro-
vide for the uncollected portion of said ~istrict on the date hereinafter

fixed, shall be issued and sold to one of the city's investment
funds. Said Installment Note shall be dated on said date, and shall be
payable from said "Local Improvement Fund District No 289".
Section 4. That the ~day of ~~. , 19~ be and the
same is hereby fixed for the date of the installment note to be issued
on account of said improvement.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately after its passage and publication as provided by law.
