ions · on city property and city streets.
THE CITY 0F BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. A revocable Permit is hereby., granted to the ?aeific
NorthWeSt 'Bell Telephone Company, its successors and assigns to install,
maintain and operate public telephone booths at various locatior~ on
city' property and city streets in the ~City of Bremerton, on the follow-
lng t eras:
(a) Location of Booths. Sites for the location or relocation
of'telePhone b6oths shall be selected bY the Permittee,
subject to approval of ~the Commissioner 1of Public
Works.
(b)i Inst&llation and Maintenance. The permittee shall bear
the. entl~e cOSt· ..0'~' i~t'~lation, maintenance., relocation
and removal of every telephone bOOth ~installe'd Under
this permit.
(c) Commissions. The per~lttee shall pay to the City of
Br~'~e~t6'n 'a permit feel equal to fifteen per cent (15$)
of the net :contents' of the coin box of each public
telephone installed hereunder, after dedUCti, on for
applicable excise taxes. After this permit bee.~Ue8
effective, suchl Permit fee shall he. Paid to the City
monthly, on each 'coin box opened during the preOe~ng
month.
(d) Electricity. With approval of the Commissioner of
PUblic WOrks, .the pe~mittee', sher~ feasi.bie,, may later-
connect with electric Service furnished to the city.
(e) RemOval of Booths. Upon 30 .days notice, the city, in its:
S0ie di'~'cre~'b~ and without caUse, may requi~e the
permittee to remove any telephOne booth installed here-
under. The Permittee on its: own initiative may re~ove
any telephone booth any time but shall restore the~
surface to good condition and safe public .use- consid-
ering the nature and location of the Proper~y.
(f.) Termination of Pe~t.: This permit may be revoked byl the'

voluntarily by the permitt:ee, only afte~ ~0 days notice.
In event of such itexmination, .the pe~mittee Shall ~emOve
all installations hel~e~r wilthi'n ~0. dams and in eom-
pliance wi~h provisions of paragraph (e)hereof.
Section 2. The' permit. :granted by. this ordinance is sub,eot
to the condition that perm_lttee, its success'ors and assigns, .forever
wii1 indemnify, and save the City of Bremer:ton, .its: officers, agents
and employees harmless from and against any and all liability, loss,
cost, .damage. and expense,, and any and all claims for injury er death
to persons and damage to property,, directly .or indirectly arising from
the installation, maintenance, or operation of .telephone booths under
this permit. The city shall promptly notify the pemuittee upon receipt
of any claim or demand against ~hlch it is, .or may be., .held harmless
by. the. pemmittee under this indemmificati.on. As evidenced by its
written accepta.nce of the terms and conditions of this ordina~nce as
provided, in SeCtion 3, .the permltte.e understands and agrees that the with-
in pe~alt is granted only upon, .and constitutes 'consideration for,
this indemnification.
Seotion 3. This ordinance is 'not :operative until permtttee has
filed with the City Clerk a w~l.tten acceptance of all terms and condit-
ions contained herein, signed by an authorized official of said corp-
oration and approved as to form bY the Ci.t~ Attorney.
