AN ORDINANCE rescinding Ordinance No. 2748
and vacating certain portions of alleys
located between Burwell and Second Streets,
and Washington and Pacific Avenue, and more
specifically described herein, all in the
City of Bremerton, and providing for rever-
sion to the City of Bremerton for non-action,
and declaring an emergency,
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 2?48 is hereby rescinded.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Bremerton
at a public hearing on the 14th day of June, 1967, declared its
intention to vacate the following portions of alleys and rights
of way in the City of Bremerton:
Part of an alley in Block 8, Plat of
of the City of Bremerton, being the
14-foot alley running in an easterly
and westerly direction and being that
portion of the 14-foot alley running
in a northereasterly and southwesterly
direction, which abuts on Lots 15 and
14 of said Plat.
It is the intention of the City by this vacation ordinance to vacate
only the southerly 60 feet of the alley running in a northeasterly
and southwesterly direction, but all of the alley running in an
easterly and~sterly direction.
Section 3. That all the above-described portions of alleys
and rights of way in the City of Bremerton, County of Kitsap, be and
hereby are declared vacated.
Section 4. That in the event that the above-described
property is sub-divided for residential purposes, or in the event
that a proposed development including the destruction of old
buildings for the erection of new buildings is not commenced within
three years of the date of this ordinance, all right, title and
interest in said property will revert to the City of Bremerton.
Section 5. The City Clerk is directed to certify a copy
of this Ordinance and to file the same for recording with the
Auditor of Kitsap County, Washington.
Section 6. That an emergency exists affecting the public
peace, health and safety of the Citizens of the City of Bremerton,
and this Ordinance shall take effect immediately followinK passage
and publication.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk
in authentication of such passage this ~ ~/~
