Washington are hereby adocted by reference as set forth in that
compilation entitled ~'Washington Traffic Statutes~, being~ Information''!
Bulletin No. 283, dated May, 1966, compiled and issued by the Assoc-
iation of Washington Cities in cooDeration with the Bureau of ~overn-
mental Research and Services, and said compilation is hereby adopted
as the Traffic Ordinance of the City of Bremerton.
Section 2. PENALTIES: Any nerson violating any of the
~rovislons of the Traffic Ordinances of the City of Bremerton set forth
in Section 1 hereof shall be ~uilty of a misdemeanor for which he
shall be fined not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars (~300.00), or im-
prisoned in the City Jail of Bremerton not to exceed Ninety (90) days,
or both such fine and imprisonment; Provided however no such fine or
imprisonment shall exceed that fine or imprisonment otherwise specifi.-
cally prescribed by the provisions of Section 1 hereof.
Section _~. EFFECT OF PARTIAL INVALIDITY: If any part or
parts of this ordinance, or any of the provisions adopted by reference
by this ordinance, are for any reason held to be invalid, such inval-
idity shall not affect the validity of the remaining po~tions of this
ordinance or the provisions adopted by reference herein.
Section 4. SHORT TITLE: This ordinance may be known and
cited as the Traffic Ordinance of the City of Bremerton and the ~ro-
visions hereof cited by the Revised Code of Washington Cha~ter and
Section number set forth h~rein.

· R.,~PEAL: Ordinance No. 2692 and Ordinance )~o.
2473 of the City of Bremerton are hereby re~ealed, and all ordinances
or parts of ordinances in conflict with or inconsistent with, t~e pro-
visions of this ordinance or the provisions adomted hereby by reference
are hereby re~ealed, except that this re~eal shall not affect or .~revent
the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or committ-
ed in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed prior to the taking
effect of this ordinance.
Section ~. E~FECTIVE DATE: That an emergency exists affect,
lng the vublic peace, health, safety and welfare of the citizens of
the City of Bremerton, and this ordinance shall take effect immediately
following ~assage and ~ub!ication.
PASSED unanimously on first readin~ by the Cit~ Council of the
City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk
