provement District No. 297, providing for the improvement of Valle-Iii Area,
a~ in said Ordinance described; providing for the l~vying and assessing for
the costs and expenses thereof against the parcels and lots of land between
the termini and within the boundaries of said improvement district; pro-
viding for the collection thereof; creating and establishing a special fund
therefore; and fixing the date for the issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the Assessment Roll for Local Improvement District No.
297 providing for the improvement of Valle-Iii Area by the construction of
sanitary sewers and appurtenances, together with the doing of any and all
other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make such improve-
ment a complete job, all in accordance with the plans and specifications on
file in the Office of the City Engineer and as provided by Ordinance No.
2737, the same is hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as shown
in said assessment roll is specially benefited by said improvement and that
there be and is hereby assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part
thereof and other property contained in said improvement district as shown
in said roll, including any property belonging to the City of Bremerton and
the respective amounts in said roll set against each parcel and lot of land
and or part thereof and other property between the termini of said improve-
ment, abutting upon, adjacent or proximate to said. improvement, and such
amounts so assessed are hereby declared to be first lien against each par-
ce1 or lot or part thereof against which the same is assessed in said roll.
Section 3. That for the purpose of this improvement there is hereby
created and established a special fund to be known as "Local Improvement Fund
District No. 297". Bonds, bearing interest at 5% shall be issued in serial
numbers from One (1) to 164 inclusive, or as many as may be necessary to pro-
vide for the uncollected portion of said district on the date hereinafter
fixed, to be in denominations of $00 bonds each, except the first which shall
be for such fractional part of 500 as may be remaining and unpaid on said
date, payable from said "Local Improvement Fund District No. 297.

Section 4. That the 9th day of December, 1968, be and the same is here-
by fixed for the date of issuance and sale of bonds to be issued on account
of said improvement.
Section S. That this Ordinance shall be in ~ull force and effect im-
mediately after its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 9th day of October, 1968.
