AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bremerton, Washington,
specifying and adopting a plan for the acquisition~
construction and installation of a Municipal Golf
Course; declaring the estimated cost thereof; and
providing for the issuance of revenue bonds of the
City in the principal amount of $125,000 to provide
· · funds to .pay such cost, and declaring an emergency.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton, Washington (hereinafter
called the "City"), now owns certain real property upon which the
City desires to construct a Municipal Golf Course; an¢!
WHEREAS, in order to pay the cost of constructing and
installing such a [~unicipa] Golf Course it is deemed necessary and
advisable that the City issue and sell its revenue bonds in the
principal amount of $125,000; now, therefore
THE CITY OF BRE~ERTO~ DOES ORDAINS:
Section 1. The following plan for the acquisition, ·
construction and installation of the Municipal Golf Course of the!
City is hereby specified and adopted, to wit:
The City shall construct and install a Municipal Golf
CoUrse and its various attendant outbuildings including a restaurant
and pro shop on the following described property:
A portion of Section 1, T23N, R1W and Section 36, T24~,
R1W included in the boundaries described as follows:
Commencing at the NW corner of Section 1~ T23N, R1W,
the TPB thence southerly along the Section line to the
SW corner of NWl/4 of the NWl/4 of said ~ection 1;
thence Easterly to the center of the NW1/4~ thence
Southerly to the center of the SW1/4~ thence Easterly
to the SE corner of the NE1/4 of the SW1/4 of said
..... Section 1- thence Northerly to the center of said
Section 1; thence Easterly along the 1/4 section line
to a point 100 feet West of the centerline of Gorst
Creek; thence Northerly along a line parallel to and
100 feet West of the centerline of Gorst Creek to a
point on the North boundary of said Section Ii thence
Northwesterly to a point on the West 1/4 section line
of the SW1/4 of the SE1/4 of Section 36, T24N, R1W,
said point being ~00 feet North of the SW corner of the
SW1/4 of the SE1/4 of said Section 36; thence Westerly
parallel to the South line of said section to a point
on the West 1/4 section line of the SE1/4 of the SW1/4 ~
of said Section 36; said point being 400' N of the SW
corner of the SE1/4 of the SW1/4 of said Section 36.~
thence Southerly 400 feet to the SW corner of the SE1/4
of the SW1/4 of said Section 36; thence Westerly alohg

the South line of Section 36 to the NW corner of
Section 1, T23N, R1W and the True Point of beginning.
Ail situated in Kitsap County, Washington.
~he City shall acquire all materials, equipment, real and
personal property or interests therein, easements, franchises,
rights-of-way and water rights necessary to carry out the above-
described plans. Said plans of improvements are all as more parti-
cularly set forth in maps, plans and specifications prepared by
Kenneth Tyson, consulting Golf Course architect of Tacoma, Washington,
and such plans shall be subject to such additions or changes as to
detail or other changes not affecting the main general plans as
hereinbefore set forth as may be authorized by the City Council
either prior to or during the actual course of construction.
Section 2. The estimated cost of acquiring, constructing
and installing the above-described Municipal Golf Course is hereby
declared to be, as near as may be, the sum of $253,025 of which
the sum of $125,000 shall be provided through the issuance and sale
of revenue bonds.
As an integral part of the plan for acquiring, constructing
and installing the above-described Municipal Golf Course, the City
shall issue and sell its revenue bonds at such time or times as the
Council may determine to be to the best interest of the City. The
exact date, form, terms, maturities and covenants of such bonds shall
be as hereafter fixed by ordinance of the City.
Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: That an emergency exists
affecting the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the
citizens of the City of Bremerton, and this Ordinance shall take
effect immediately following passage and publication.
PASSED unanimously on first reading by the City Council of
the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City
Clerk in authentication of such passage this /~ day of November,
