Ordinance
relating to holidays, as enacted by Ordinance No, 2554 and
amended by Ordinance No. 2594 and inadvertently repealed
by Ordinance No, 2775, and declaring an emergency.
IqHERFAS Section 1 of Ordinance No, 2534 amended Ordinance No. 1813 by
adding Section 6-A relating to holidays, and
WHEREAS said Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2534 was amended by Section 2
of Ordinance No, 2594, and
I~qEREAS said Ordinance No, 2534 was inadvertently repealed by Ordinance
No, 2773, thus eliminating Section 6-A of Ordinance No, 1815,
NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF BRI~RTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1, That Section 6-A of Ordinance No. 1813 be reenacted to
read as follows:
Section 6-A: If any holiday falls on. one of the
regular days off of any employee whose days off
are not Saturday and Sunday, such employee shall
receive either the day following such holiday or
the day preceeding such holiday as a day off and
if required to work on such day, shall be com-
pensated in accordance with the applicable pror
visions of this ordinance,
Section 2. That an emergency exists and is hereby declared to exist,
and this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health and safety of the citizens of Bremerton, and for the general
welfare, and the same shall be in full force and effect immediately upon
Passage and publication, ·
PASSED UNAN~SLY by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed
by the Mayor an,d, attested by the City Clerk in authentication of such pas-
sage this ~n~ day of February: 1969,
