and 3316; relating to legal holidays for the City
of Bremerton.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 6 of Ordinances No. 1813 is amended to
read:
The following holidays are hereby adopted as legal
holidays for the City of Bremerton: S~; ~The 1st day of
~-~ir~a~,, the third Monday of January (Martin Luther King's
Birthday); the third Monday of February ~ ............ ~_~. ~_ .._~..~..~ ..... .~.. '-_
~, (Presidents' Day); the last Monday of May (Memorial
Day); the Fourth of July (Independence Daw); the first Monday in
September (Labor Day); the eleventh day in November (Veteran's
Day); the fourth Thursday and Friday in November (Thanksgiving
Holiday); the twenty-fifth day of December (Christmas Day); and
any other day designated by public proclamation of the Chief
Executive of the State as a legal holiday om as a day of
thanksgiving.
Whenever any legal holiday~ .................. x,
falls upon a Sunday, the following Monday shall be a legal
holiday, and whenever any legal holiday falls upon a Saturday,
the preceding Friday shall be a legal holiday.
If any holiday falls on one of the regular dams off
of any employee whose days off are not on Saturday and Sunday,
such employee shall receive either the day following such holiday
or the day preceding such holiday as a day off and if required to
work on such day, shall be compensated in accordance with the
applicable provisions of this Chapter.
Employees of the City of Bremerton, except exempt
management personnel, shall be entitled to one paid holiday per
calendar year, entitled a "Floatin~ Holiday" in addition to those
specified in this section. Each employee of the City of Bremerton
