sewer service charges and water service
charges.
THE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
pE_q~o~j. Section IV, Subparagraph H.2.b Ordinance
No. 3147 (Municipal Code 15.04.550(b)(2)) as amended by Ordinance No. 3307
and Ordinance No. 3446, is ~,anded to read:
(BI (2) Sewer service charges will be levied,
when possible, on the basis of water metered
to the premises. The minimum monthly sewer
service charge shall be as follows:

In addition to the minimum monthly sewer
service charge, a charge of .007 dollars per
cubic feet shall be made for water metered
in excess of the amount specified above.
SECTION 2. Section III Subparagraph 3 (H) Ordinance No.
3147 (Municipal Code 15.04.090(a)).as amended by Ordinance No. 3307 and
Ordinance No. 3446 is amended to read:
Unless otherwise specified in writing by the
commissioner of public works and utilities
stating the reasons th~refor, the
rate per month for meters of sizes below
indicated and used in supplying water shall
be as follows and computed to the nearest
amount ending in zero or five:
a) Minimum meter rates within the city
limits per month for five hundred cubic
feet or less:

In addition to the minimum monthly water
service charge, a charge of .005 dollars
per cubic foot shall be made for water
metered in excess of the amount specified
above.
SECTION 3. Section III, Subparagraph G of Ordinance
No. 3147 (Municipal Code 15.04.080(a)) as amended by Ordinance No. 3307 and
Ordinance No. 3446 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. Section IV, Subparagraph H(2) of Ordinance
No. 3147 (Municipal Code 15.04.550(b)(4)) is amended to read:
Sewer service charges hilled during the
months of ~une through November to residential
premises which may use large quantities of water
for irrigation purposes shall be charged at regular
rates established by ordtnaDce up to the amount of
the largest bimonthly consumption of water during the
immediately preceding period from December through
May.
SECTION 5. Section III, Subparagraph J, Ordinance No.
3147 (Municipal Code 15.04.110) as amended by Ordinance No. 3307 and Ordinance No.
3446 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 6; Section III, Subparagraph 3 (H)(3) is amended
to read as follows:
The rate for a fractional month shall be computed by

to be equitable and fair to both the consumer
and the water department.
