AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1119, §2,
relating to establishment and usage of
building inspection fund.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1119 shall be
amended to read as follows:
17.12.020 BUILDING INSPECTION FUND. There is hereby created and
established a fund to be known as the building inspection fund.
All license fees and fees for building permits provided for under
this chapter and other ordinances comprising the building code,
and all penalties assessed and collected shall be paid to the
city treasurer, who shall credit the building inspector fund with
all such receipts of moneys. The treasurer shall likewise debit
the building inspection fund with all payments made and expenses
incurred by the office of the building inspector. The building
inspector shall prepare and submit to the city council a budgeted
list of receipts and expenditures and request for appropriations
for the maintenance of his office in the same manner as is
provided in the ordinances of the city of Bremerton for budget
control of other administrative offices of the city. The city
council shall make such appropriations for the maintenance of the
office of building inspector as shall from time to time be
necessary under the city budget law.
