AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1119, §1,
relating to creation of the office of building
inspector.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1119 shall be
amended to read as follows:
17.12.010 OFFICE CREATED - DUTIES. There is hereby created the
office of building inspector for the city of Bremerton. The
building inspector shall be appointed by the city council to hold
offices for such term as the council may provide. No person
shall be eligible for appointment as buildin9 inspector unless he
is a bona fide resident and citizen of Bremerton and a qualified
expert with a thorough and complete knowledge of construction
methods and plans and of the building trades. The building
inspector shall devote his entire time, study and efforts to the
duties of his office and shall enforce the provisions of this
chapter and all other ordinances relating to the Building Code of
the City of Bremerton.
