to provide for an Amusement Device
Owner's License, to be determined by the
gross revenue of each amusement device.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 3669, Section 4, is here-
by amended to read as follows:
Section 4: AMUSEMENT DEVICE OWNERS LICENSE
REQUIRED.
It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to
own any amusement device in the city without having
first obtained an "Amusement Device Owners License" to
do so, obtained in the manner hereinafter set forth.
The license fee for any amusement device, for which
payment is made for the use thereof, whether by inser-
tion of a coin or by payment made directly to the pro-
prietor, shall be a sum equal to four per cent (4%) of
the gross revenue of all amusement devices owned by the
licensee. A minimum license fee of Eight and 75/100
Dollars ($8.75) per tax period shall be assessed; how-
ever, said minimum shall not be assessed unless the
average revenue of an amusement device, determined by
dividing the total revenue by the total number of amuse-
ment devices in one place of business, multiplied by
the taxing rate is less than Eight and 75/100 Dollars
($8.75). The tax rate may be increased or decreased
from time to time by City Council resolution.
The City of Bremerton shall have the authority, pursu-
ant to this ordinance, to adopt by resolution whatever
measures it deems necessary to determine valuation for
license fee purposes, including a subsequent require-
ment of the installation of a counting device.
The license fee shall be payable in quarterly install-
ments on or before the 15th day of the month following
the end of the calendar quarter, to commence October 1,
1982. The remittance, as herein provided, shall be
accompanied by the amusement license location schedule
and submitted to the City Treasurer on or before the
last day of each calendar quarter. On that date, all
machines listed on the schedule shall be deemed to be
licensed.
In the event that the license fee is not paid within
fifteen (15) days of the due date, there shall be
levied a delinquency fee of Three Dollars ($3.00) or
ten per cent (10%) of the quarterly gross license fee
due, plus delinquent charges, whichever is greater.
