AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 3349,
Section 7 to state that only one citation
for illegal parking shall be issued in any
one hour period.
THE CITY OF BP.E~'~RTCN DOES ORDAIN:
Ordinance No. 3349, Section 7, codified as BMC 10.05.070
is hereby amended to read as follows:
It shall be the duty of each pclice officer to take the
number of any meter at which any vehicle is overparked, as
provided in this ordinance, the state vehicle license of such
vehicle, the time and date of such overparking, the make of
such vehicle, and issue, in writing, a citation for illegal
parking~ PROVIDED, that only one such citation shall be issued
in any one hour period.
Any operator or owner of a vehicle to whom a citation
has been issued may within seven (7) days of the time of the
issuance of said citation, pay to the City Treasurer as a penalty
for and in full satisfaction of such violaticn the sum of Five
dollars ($5.00). The failure of such o%~ner or operator to
nLake such payment within seven (7) days shall render such owner
or operator subject to the penalties hereinafter provided for
the violation of the provisions of this chapter PROVIDED that
the o%mer or operator receiving an overtime parking citation
may satisfy said violation by paying the sum of Two dollars
($2~00) to the City Treasurer within twenty-four (24) hours after
the citation is issued.
