AN ORDINANCE amending ordinances 3543 and 3546
regarding a change in land use restrictions
for the Kitsap Lake Business District.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
SECTION 1:
Ordinance No. 3543 and Ordinance No. 3546, Section 1,
conditions 1 and 2 of each, are amended as follows:
1. New commercial construction and development
shall be required to receive site plan approval
from the City Council following Planning
Commission hearings. Such site plan approval
shall meet any concerns raised by the Bremerton
Area Plan and Ordinances 3546 and 3543. This
requirement shall not apply to single-family
residential or duplex development or to
additions to existing commercial buildings
which do not increase the cubical content more
than 25% from the original size of the building
as of the date of the passage of this
ordinance.
2. All developments requiring the above site
plan approval shall in addition to the
screening requirements of the zoning ordinance,
provide an unbuilt upon screening area of not
less than 25 ft. in width where the business
development is adjacent to residential zoning.
