employment for the City of Bremerton and
adopting an Affirmative Action Program for
the City and Repealing Ordinance No. 3447 and
Resolution No. 1857.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton is committed to
promoting and protecting the rights and opportunities for equal
employment opportunity to all citizens without regard to race,
color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, or
sensory mental or physical handicap, unless such factors
constitute a bona fide occupational qualification; and
WHEREAS, the Affirmative Action Plan adopted by
Ordinance No. 3447 and Resolution No. 1857 has been rewritten;
now, therefore:
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1.
Ordinance No. 3447 and Resolution No. 1857 are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 2.
The City of Bremerton hereby adopts and incorporates by
reference the attached affirmative action program to apply to all
employment practice pertaining to the City of Bremerton.
APPROVED by the City Council on the first reading
