SUMMARY: Bremerton Housing Authority owns property located at 8th Street and Park Avenue.
Staff is proposing purchasing the property in the amount of $325,000 for the new municipal court
facility. It is also requested that due to the change in scope of the original project a transfer of
$500,000 to the Public Safety Project Fund from the General Fund be authorized to partially offset
additional project costs.
ATTACHMENTS: Proposed Real Estate Pruchase and Sale Agreement
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Increase transfers out of the General Fund to the
Public Safety Projects fund in the amount of$500,000 with a corresponding increase to the Project
Fund capital expenditures for the Municipal Court Project.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the purchase of property from the Bremerton Housing Authority and authorize the
Mayor to finalize and execute the real estate purchase and sale agreement with substantially the same
terms and conditions as presented and to finalize and execute any and all documents necessary to
close the transaction, and further
To approve a budget adjustment to increase expenditures in the General Fund and revenues and
expenditures in the Public Safety fund by $500,000 to facilitate transfer and approve expenditure of
additional project costs.
