SUMMARY: The 2006 budget for the 510 Fund lists 4 replacement vehicles. These are to be
service trucks. Council approval is requested for a sole source for purchase of 4 truck beds from
Allied Body of Seattle. All of our present service bodies are made by Reading Company and their
local representative is Allied Body. The total cost of the bed package (all 4) is $65,465.38 including
sales tax. Sole source is requested for consistency in maintenance and operation.
