AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 3720 to
increase the penalty upon a second or subsequent
offense for unlawful issuance of bank checks.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
SECTION 1.
Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3720 is hereby amended as
follows:
There shall be a mandatory fine of $500.00 imposed
upon a first offense, of which $50.00 shall not be
suspended or deferred. Upon a second or subsequent
offense within a five-year period, a person shall
be punished by imprisonment for up to 90 days in
the city jail, and a minimum mandatory fine of $500.00
shall be imposed, and no part of such fine shall be
suspended or deferred.
APPROVED by the City Council on the first reading this
