AN ORDINANCE amending Section 17.04.030(6) of the Bremerton
Municipal Code to eliminate Chapter 14 of the previously
adopted Uniform Sign Code.
WHEREAS, the Uniform Sign Code was established to control the
construction, placement and structural integrity of signs; and
WHEREAS, the 1785 Uniform Sign Code was adopted by reference
by the City of Bremerton in May 1987; and
WHEREAS, language now exists in Chapter 14 of the Uniform Sign
Code, as adopted, that conflicts with the language of the City of
Bremerton Zoning Ordinance; now, therefore,
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. Amendment. Section 17.04.030(6) of the Bremerton
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
17.04.030 - ADOPTION BY REFERENCE - The following codes and
regulations are hereby adopted by reference subject to the
modifications and amendments set forth in this Chapter.
(6) International Code of Building Officials,
Uniform Sign Code, 1985 editions~ ,except that Section
1401 shall not be adopted.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become
effective ten (10) days from passage and publications.
