AN ORDINANCE annexing approximately 17.5 acres known
Lane Annexation in the vicinity of Lilac Lane and Harlow Drive
into the City of Bremerton, rezoning said property to Single-
family (SF-2), and fixing the effective date of annexation.
WHEREAS the City of Bremerton, Washington received nineteen ,
.,~.~~~ of Intent to commence annexation proceedings from the
owners of properties in the Lilac Lane neighborhood;
WHEREAS, an environmental review was conducted in accordance
with the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) of a portion of an
unincorporated County island that included the proposed
Annexation Area, and a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) was
issued on February 9, 1989;
WHEREAS, the Bremerton Planning Commission conducted a
public hearing on February 2i, 1989, accepted public comments
pertaining to pre-annexation zoning of the Lilac Lane Planning
Area, and passed Resolution 89-3 recommending Single-family (SF-
2) zoning of the area upon annexation;
WHEREAS, the City Council a~proved the proposed annexation
on March 8, 1989, subject to approval of City zoning and the
assumption of existing City indebtedness;
WHEREAS, there was filed with the City Council of the City
of Bremerton a Petition for Annexation, conforming to the City
Council's requirements as described above., in writing and signed
by the owners of more than 75 percent in value, according to the
assessed valuation for general taxation, of the total property
for which annexation was petitioned and which is included in the
Lilac Lane Annexation Area;
WHEREAS, the Bremerton City Council conducted a public
hearing on May 17, 1989, following proper posting and publication
of the hearing notice as required by law, to accept public
comments and to consider the annexation petition and the Planning
Commission's zoning recommendation; now, therefore
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
Section 1. The territory described in Exhibit "A",
attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, should be
and is hereby made a part of the City of Bremerton.
Section 2. Said territory hereby annexed shall be zoned
Single-family (SF-2) according to the map attached as Exhibit "B"
which shall be filed as a supplement to the Official Zoning Map
of the City of Bremerton.

Section 3. In conformance with the terms of the
Annexation Petition, all property within the territory annexed
hereby shall be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the
same basis as property within the City, including assessment or
taxes in payment of any bonds issued or debts contracted prior to
or existing at the date of annexation.
Section 4. This Ordinance is subject to approval by the
Kitsap County Boundary Review Board and shall take effect ten
days following passage and publication, or the final date of
approval by the Boundary Review Board, whichever occurs later.

the E 1/2 in Section 16 T24N R1E WM.
ALSO:
The NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of
Section 16 T24N R1E WM.
ALSO:
The west 190 feet of the S 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of
the SW 1/4 lying northeasterly of the northeasterly margin of
County Road in Section 16 T24N R1E WM.
ALSO:
The S 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 lying
southwesterly of the northwesterly margin of County Road in
Section 16 T24N RiE WM, except that portion of County Road
previously annexed.
ALSO:
The east 166.32 feet of the SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4
lying north of the south margin of County Road in Section 16
T24N RIE WM.
