Center Way, and 6th Street adjacent to SR3 Park.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton initiated vacation of a portion
of 6th Street, Auto Center Way, and Bruenn Avenue abutting its park
property by Resolution #2244; and
WHEREAS, notice has been posted and published according to
law; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that portions of said rights-of-
way as set forth herein are not needed for present or future
circulation and should be consolidated with SR3 Park to incorporate
recreational improvements on these rights-of-way and to allow
progress on the City's utilization program for undeveloped areas
of the park and development of an adjacent private parcel; now ,
therefore
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Vacation. The following rights-of-way are hereby
vacated:
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein by this reference.
SECTION 2. Conditions. This right-of-way vacation shall be
subject to the following conditions:
1. Portions of right-of-way herein vacated shall be
incorporated into the 3.79 acre SR3 Park adjacent to said rights-
of-way and shall be used only for park and recreational purposes.
2. The portions of right-of-way hereby vacated shall be
subject to all the deed restrictions set forth in the quit claim
deed executed March 12, 1976 conveying the above parcel from the
u.s. Secretary of the Interior, grantor, to the City of Bremerton,
grantee.
3. Should there exist at the effective date of this Ordinance
public power lines on the portions of right-of-way herein vacated,
easements shall be granted Puget Power as necessary.
SECTION 3. Effective Date. This vacation shall become
effective ten (10) days from passage and publication; provided,

this Ordinance shall not take effect until the U.S.G.S.A. approves
the exchange of the rights-of-way hereby vacated for approximately
5,000 square feet of the SR3 Park property more fully described in
Exhibit "B" and the map attached thereto, as property subject to
the deed restrictions set forth in Section 2(2).

STREET VACATION ON AUTOCENTER WAY, 6TH STREET AND BRUEN AVENUE
Description of Park Department Property to be benefitted:
That portion of the East half of the Southwest quarter of Section
16, Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M., described as follows:
Beginning at a concrete monument set at the intersection of the
southerly right of way line of Kitsap Way (formerly Primary State
Highway No. 21 - 100 feet wide) with the westerly right of way line
of Arsenal Way (40 feet wide), as said right of way lines were
located on February 29, 1960; thence South 24° 24' 40" West along
said westerly right of way line 565.31 feet to a concrete monument;
thence South 9e 57' 20" East along said right of way line 499.78
feet; thence leaving said right of way line, from a semi-tangent
which bears North 43° 35' 20" West, along a curve to the right
having a radius of 1747.10 feet an arc distance of 128.50 feet;
thence North 81° 55' 00" West 410 feet to the true point of
beginning; thence South 81° 55' 00" East 80.00 feet; thence North
22° 14' 34" East 200.09 feet; thence North 31° 35' 43" West 196.33
feet; thence South 63° 24' 17" West 16.48 feet to the point of
curve of a curve to the right having a radius of 418.13 feet;
thence along said curve through a central angle of 32° 59' 22" an
arc distance of 240.?0 feet to the westerly boundary of the
Qualheim War Housing Pro3ect; thence South 12° 38' 36" West along
said boundary 182.11 feet; thence South 32° 12' 00" East ?8.90
feet; thence South ?6° 12' 00" East 200.00 feet to the true point
of beginning.
The area to be vacated is as follows:
A 10 foot strip of AutoCenter Way and Bruen Avenue abutting
the above described parcel to the East.
Also:
A 20 foot strip of 6th Street abutting the above described
parcel to the North.
The area of vacation contains 8?60 square feet or 0.2 acres.
