~N ORDZ~A~CE annexing a~pro~i~tely ~0.6~ acres located east of
~oc~y Point ~oad and wes~ of ~ent~a Avenue into the City of
~remerton, re~oning said property to Par~s a~d Schools (PS), and
fixinq the effective date of annexation.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton, Washington received a Notice
of Intent to commence annexation proceedings for annexation of
certain real property, the legal description of which is set
forth below, and to amend the City of Bremerton's zoning map as
set forth below;
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation received a determination of
nonsignificance on February 9, 1989 by the responsible official
under the State Environmental Policy Act;
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the proposed annexation
on February 15, 1989, subject to the assumption of existing City
endebtedness by the area to be annexed, and adoption of zoning
proposed by the City;
WHEREAS, there was filed with the City Council of the City
of Bremerton a Petition for Annexation, conforming to the City
Council's requirements as described above, in writing signed by
the owners of more than 75 percent in value, according to the
assessed valuation for general taxation of the property for which
annexation was petitioned, and a public hearing was conducted by
the Bremerton City Council on March 22, 1989, following proper
posting and publishing of the hearing notice, as required by law;
and
WHEREAS, a recommendation of Parks & Schools (PS) zoning has
been recommended by the Planning Commission for the subject
property, following a public hearing held on February 21, 1989,
now, therefore
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
Section 1. The territory described in Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and incorporated by reference herein, should be and is
hereby made a part of the City of Bremerton.
Section 2. In conformance with the terms of the Annexation
Petition, all property within the territory annexed shall not be
assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as
property within the City, so long as it remains non-tax base
property.
Section 3. Said territory hereby annexed shall be zoned
Parks & Schools (PS), according to the map attached as Exhibit
"B", which shall be filed as a supplement to the official zoning
map of the City of Bremerton.

Section 4. This ordinance is subject to approval by the
Kitsap County Boundary Review Board and shall take effect ten
days following its passage and publication, or following the
final date of approval before the Boundary Review Board,
whichever occurs later.
