ORDINANCE annexing approximately . acre~t-h ..... ~
of Kitsap Lake into the City of Bremerton, requiring
said property to be assessed and taxed at the same
rate and basis as other property within said City,
rezoning said property to Single Family Zone 2
and fixing the effective date of annexation
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton, Washington received a Notice
of Intent to commence annexation proceedings for annexation of
certain real property, the legal description of which is set forth
below, and to amend the City of Bremerton's zoning map as set forth
below;
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation received a determination of
nonsignificance on December 7, 1988 by the responsible official
into the State Environmental Policy Act.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the proposed annexation on
February 1, 1989 subject to the assumption of existing city
indebtedness by the area to be annexed, and adoption of zoning
proposed by the City;
· ~EREAS, there was filed with the city Council of the City of
Bremerton a Petition for Annexation, conforming to the City
Council's requirements as described above, in writing signed by
the owners of more than 75% in value, according to the assessed
valuation for general taxation of the property for which annexation
was petitioned, and a public hearing notice has been posted and
published as required by law; and
WHEREAS, a recommendation of SF-2 zoning has been proposed by
the Planning Commission for the subject property following a public
hearing held January 17, 1989, now therefore
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
Section 1. The territory described in Exhibit A attached
hereto and incorporated by reference herein should be and is hereby
made a part of the City of Bremerton.
Section 2. In conformance to the terms of the Annexation
Petition, all property within the territory annexed hereby shall
be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as
property within the City, including assessment or taxes in payment
of any bonds issued or debts contracted prior to or existing at the
date of annexation.
Section 3. Said territory hereby annexed shall be zoned
SF-2 according to the map attached as Exhibit B which shall be
filed as a supplement to the official zoning map of the City of
Bremerton.

Section 4. This ordinance is subject to approval by the
Kitsap Count~8~O~~u a ~ Review Board and shall take effect ten days

following passage and publication, or the final date of approval
before the Boundary Review Board, whichever occurs later.

distance of 1,320 feet to the south line of said SE 1/4; thence west
parallel to said south line a distance of 50 feet; thence north
parallel to the east line of said SE 1/4 a distance of 440 feet;
thence west parallel to said south line a distance of 290 feet;
thence north parallel to said east line a distance of 595 feet;
thence east parallel to the north line of said SE 1/4 a distance of
10 feet; thence north parallel to said east line a distance of 285
feet to the north line of said SE 1/4; thence east parallel to said
north line a distance of 330 feet to the point of beginning.
