voters of the City of Bremerton to allow the formation of Council
districts by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, a redistricting plan has been accomplished to allow
for Council districts that are as close, as practicable, in
population and size; now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
SECTION l: The Council districts of the City of Bremerton
are set forth as follows:
CITY COUNCIL DISTRICTS
DISTRICT NO. 1:
All of Section 2, and the North half of Section 11, and that
portion of the South half of Section 11 lying Westerly of Warren
Avenue and Northeasterly of the Port Washington Narrows waterway;
located within the Bremerton City Limits; Twnsp. 24 North, Range
i E., W.M. ALSO CURRENTLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: All of Precinct
No. 052, 056, 058 and 060.
DISTRICT NO. 2:
Beginning at the NW corner of Section 1, Twnsp. 24 N, Range 1 E.,
W.M.; thence South along Wheaton Way to Sheridan Road; thence
Southwesterly along Warren Avenue to Callahan Drive; thence
Easterly along Callahan Drive to Schley Blvd.; thence Southerly
along Schley Blvd. to the Westerly extension of Cascade Trail;
thence East along the Westerly extension of Cascade Trail to
Winfield Avenue; thence North along Winfield Avenue to 0enner
Avenue; thence Northerly along Jenner Avenue to Fir Avenue;
thence East on Fir Avenue and North on Fir Avenue to the

Southerly along Schley Blvd. to the Westerly extension of Cascade
Trail; thence East along said extension to Winfield Avenue;
thence North along Winfield Avenue to Jenner Avenue; thence
Northerly along Jenner Avenue to Fir Avenue; thence East and
North on Fir to the centerline of Magnuson Way and the City
Limits line; thence following the City Limits Easterly and
Southerly to Port Orchard Bay; thence Westerly along Port Orchard

bounds of State Roadway 9303 (Wheaton Way), Shore Drive, Hayward
Avenue, East 13th Street and East 14th Street, and that portion
thereof lying within the bounds of Shore Drive and the Port
Washington Narrows waterway between State Roadway 9303 (Manette
Bridge) and 10th Street; and that portion thereof located
Westerly of the Port Washington Narrows waterway; EXCEPT that
area lying North of llth Street and West of Pacific Avenue, and
EXCEPT that portion located within the Puget Sound Naval
Shipyard; TOGETHER WITH that portion of the Southeast quarter of
Section 14, Twnsp. 24 North, Range 1 E., W.M., lying South of 6th
Street and East of Anoka-Veneta Avenues; AND EXCEPT that portion
thereof located within the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard; TOGETHER

WITH that portion of Section 14 located within the bounds of the

thence Westerly and along the meander line of the Port Washington
Narrows waterway to the Northerly extension of Chester Avenue,
thence South on Chester Avenue to llth Street, thence West on
llth Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, thence South on Pennsylvania

thence South on Naval Avenue to the Northerly fence line of the
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, thence Easterly along said fence line

Bremerton lying within the East half and South half of said
Section 8; TOGETHER W1TH all of said Section 9, EXCEPT that
portion thereof lying beyond the most Easterly meander line of

SECTION 2: These districts shall be formed as of the
effective date of this Ordinance for purposes of the 1985 primary
and general elections. Formation of these districts shall not
have any effect upon the current Bremerton City Council.
APPROVED by the City Council on the first reading this
