territory to the City of Bremerton and incorporatin~~i~
the same within the corporate limits thereof. ~O~ ~'~
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRE~ERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
SECTION 1: After initiation/ f proceedings as provided in
/
RCW 35.13.125, the owners of no~ less than seventy-five percent
(75%) in value, according to the assessed valuation for general
taxation of the property hereinafter described, have petitioned
pursuant to RCW 35.13.130 for annexation of said area to the City
of Bremerton; that said petition came on for hearing before the
City Council on January 23, 1985; that notice of said hearing was
published in the manner provided by law; that the petition was
reviewed by the Kitsap County Boundary Review Board on May 17,
1984, at which time the Boundary Review Board declined to invoke
its jurisdiction; that said area is contiguous to the City of
Bremerton and that the City Council deems it beneficial that the
area become a part of the City of Bremerton.
SECTION 2: That the property described in attached "A" is
being annexed to and made a part of the City of Bremerton.
SECTION 3: All property within the territory so annexed
shall be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same
basis as property of the City of Bremerton is assessed and taxed
to pay for any outstanding indebtedness of the City existing at
the date hereof, except property belonging in fee simple to the
United States Government. ~
SECTION 4: This annexation to be effective on and after the
approval, passage and publication of this Ordinance.
SECTION 5: A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be
filed with the Kitsap County Commissioners, State of Washington,
and as otherwise provided by law.
APPROVED by the City Council on the first reading this ~

of the City of Bremerton intersects the Norhteasterly
margin of Primary State Highway No. 21; thence North-
easterly on the Northwesterly margin of Primary State
Highway No. 21 to the Easterly margin of Cambrian
Avenue; thence Northerly to the Southerly margin of
Farragut Street; thence Easterly to the Line common
to Sections 22 and 23, Township 24 North, Range 1
East, W.M.; thence Northerly to the corner common to
Sections 14, 15, 22, and 23, Township 24 North,
Range 1 East, W.M.; thence Easterly on the line common
to Sections 14 and 23 to the Easterly margin of Chester
Avenue; thence Northerly on the Easterly margin of
Chester Avenue to the Southerly margin of the East-
West alley in Block 21, Original Town Of Bremerton as
recorded in Volume 2 of plats,'page 30, records of
Kitsap County, Washington; thence Easterly to the
Easterly margin of Warren Avenue; thence Northerly to
the Southerly margin of Burwell Avenue; thence Easterly
to the line common to Lots 22 and 23, Block 13, said
Original Town of Bremerton; thence Southerly to the
Northerly margin of the East-West alley in said
Block 13; thence Easterly to the Northerly extension
of the Westerly margin of the North-South alley in
Block 12, said Original Town of Bremerton; thence
Southerly to the Southerly margin of First Street;
thence Easterly to the Westerly margin of the North-
South alley in Block 10, said Original Town of
Bremerton; thence Southerly to the Northwesterly
margin of Washington Avenue; thence SoUtheasterly to
the Northwesterly corner of Lot 9, Block 1, said
Original Town of Bremerton;.thence Southeasterly on
the line common to Lots 8 and 9, Block 1, and its
Southeasterly extension to the center of Sinclair
inlet; thence Southwesterly to the Southeasterly
extension of the Northeasterly margin of the vacated
portion of McCollum Avenue; thence Northwesterly to
the Northwesterly margin of Primary State Highway
No. 21; thence Northeasterly along said margin to a
point 206.3 feet Southwesterly of the intersection of
the Corporate Limits of the City of Bremerton and the
Northeasterly margin of said Primary State Highway
No. 21; thence Northwesterly to the Northwest margin
of Lafayette Avenue said margin being the existing
Corporate Limits of the City of Bremerton; thence
Northeasterly along said City Limits to the point of
beginning, al.1 situate in Kitsap County, Washington.
