of Administrative Services and the City departments
WHEREAS, Article VII, S30 of the City Charter of the City of Bremer-
ton gives the City Council the power to impose additional duties upon the
City Clerk; now, therefore
THE CITY CO3NC~ OF THE CITY CF ~ DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
S~CTI~ 1: DUTIES OF THE CITY CT.~K - The City Clerk, in addition
to performing those duties set forth in Article VII, Section 30 of the Bremerton
City Charter, shall be in charge of the Directorate of Administrative Services
and directly responsible to the Mayor.
SECTIflN 2: DEP~S AND DMSIONS WITHIN THE DIPdDCTORAGE OF AEPkINIS-
TRATIVE SERVICES - The Administrative Services Directorate shall consist of
the Clerk's DepaYh-~-~nt, the Department of Finance am~ the Information Services
Department. The Risk Management Division and the Purchasing Division shall be
contained within the Clerk's Department. The Accounting Division and tb~
Treasury Division shall be contained within the Department of Finance.
S~CTIC~ 3: The City Treasurer shall be in charge of the Depaz~-~nt of
Finance; the Information Services Manager shall be in charge of the Information
Services Department and both shall be directly responsible to the City Clerk.
S~CTION 4: The Individual filling the Position of the Director of Adminis-
trative Services/City Clerk shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by
the City Council. Interim appointments to this position may be made by the
Mayor without Co~cil approval for a period not to exceed 90 days.
