THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 1279, §1 is hereby amended to read
as follows:
10.20.010 RULES AND REGULATIONS - MARKINGS -
~H{~.F CITY ENGINEER AUTHORITY - The ~h~e~ ~ the
Bepa~me~ ~ ~he ~y q~ty Engineer is authorized and
empowered to make and enforce rules and regulations of any kind
and nature for the control of traffic, including rules and
regulations as to the length of time or manner of parking or
standing vehicles, one-way traffic, and "stop" streets or
"through" or arterial city streets or avenues in the suburban
districts of the city, and in any other part of the city,
providing such rules and regulations are not in conflict with
c~t~ ordinances o~ resolutions passed by the city commission; and
pursuant to the rules and regulations, the eh~e~ e~ ~he
~eps~me~ City Engineer is authorized and empowered to place
appropriate signs and markings on or near the public streets,
alleys, avenues, thoroughfares, and sidewalks of the city, which
signs shall Be ~eEEow7 o~ Ee~eefe~ ~n b~a~ on a ~eE~ow
Background7 conform to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control
(MUTC), for the purpose of informing motorists and others of such
rules and regulations.
