AN ORDINANCE governing the Office of Civil Service.
THE CIXgf OF BR~[ER~N3~ DOES ORDAIN:
SECTIO~i 1. A new chapter entitled, Office of Civil
Service, is added to Title 2 of the Bremerton Municipal Code to
read as follows:
.010 DEPARTMENT CREATED. There is created the Office
of Civil Service administered by the Civil Service Officer, who
shall be a civil service employee.
.020 DUTIES. The department shall be responsible for
the following functions:
A. Design and conduct employee selection procedures.
B. Maintain civil service records.
C. Administer the City's Equal Employment Opportunity
Plan.
D. Provide for civil service employee classification
as required by the workforce needs of the City.
E. Coordinate hearings of appeals and other requests
for relief made to the Commission.
F. Conduct such investigations or perform such other
duties as may be directed by the Civil Service Commission for the
efficient administration of the civil service system.
