AN ORDINANCE amending the parking enforcement provisions and
amending BMC 10.11.010and 10.11.030.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. Amendment. Section 10. ll.010is hereby amended to read as follows:
10.11.010 ADDITIONAL VIOLATIONS. In addition to those statutes adopted by
reference in BMC 10.04.010restricting standing, stopping and parking of vehicles, it shall
be unlawful and punishable as a civil infraction for any person to commit any of the
following actions:
(a) Overtime Parking.
It is unlawful for any person to permit a vehicle to remain parked, or to be reparked
between two intersections, if the parking time or combined parking time for the vehicle
exceeds the time limitations of the parking zone; cxccpt ............... v ....... ~ .......
however:, that within posted business districts, vehicles may not be reparked within the
business district between 4 a.m. and 8 p.m. Reparking in any thirty minute free zone is
permitted. Vehicles issued permits under BMC Chapter 10.09 and 10.10 shall be exempt
from posted time limits according to the terms of the permit.
(c) Unauthorized Usc of Permit. It is unlawful for any person issued a parking

(1) Lend, sell or assign said permit to another

Display any permit issued to another; or
Display any permit issued when the recipient of the permit is no longer
eligible pursuant to BMC 10.09.050.
(d) Counterfeit tokens, permits or script. It is unlawful to manufacture, use or
possess any counterfeit of an official token, parking permit or script distributed by the City

Section 2. Amendment. Section 10.11.030is hereby amended to read as follows:
10.11.030 PENALTIES. Unless specifically set forth elsewhere in this title, the
penalties for each parking violation of the provisions of this chapter and Chapter 10.04,
defined as an infraction, shall be:
(a) Overtime or non-payment in collection devices:
Commercial zone parking up to three (3) hours - $5.00
(ii) All others $10.00.
(iii) Third and additional violations of this subsection within thirty (30) days
- $30.00
(h) ~ Physically Disabled (public and private): $50.00
(i) Counterfeiting or Use of Counterfeit Permits, oe Tokens or Script: $500.00
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days from
