Port of Bremerton Annexation Area which lies south of the City of
Bremerton Biosolids Application site and north west of the
Bremerton Airport and fixing the effective date of annexation.
W~EREAS, the City of Bremerton, Washington received from
property owners residing in the Port of Bremerton Annexation area
a Notice of Intent to commence annexation proceedings; and
WHEREAS, an environmental review was conducted in accordance
with the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) of a portion of an
unincorporated County area that included the proposed Annexation
Area, and a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) was issued on
February 12, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the proposed annexation on
March 3, 1993, subject to the assumption of existing City
indebtedness; and
WHWREAS, there was filed with'the City Council of the City of
Bremerton a Petition for Annexation, conforming to the City
Council's requirements as described above, in ~riting and signed by
the owners of more than 75% in value, according to the assessed
valuation for general taxation, of the total property for which
annexation was petitioned and which is included in the Port of
Bremerton Annexation Area; and
WHEREAS, the Boundary Review Board received an application
from the City for this proposed action on March 4, 1993; and
Wf[EREAS, the Bremerton City Council conducted a public
hearing on April 14, 1993, following proper posting and
publication of the hearing notice as required by law, to accept

public comments on the annexation petition and accept said
petition.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BRE~ERTON,
~ASHING~ON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The territory described as:
NORTH HALF OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF
SECTION 11, TOWNSHIP 23 NORTH, RANGE 1 WEST, WM IN KITSAP COUNTY
WASHINGTON
said property shall be and constitute a part of the City of
Bremerton.
Section 2. Said territory hereby annexed shall be zoned
Industrial General (IG) and the official zoning map for the City
shall be amended accordingly.
Section 3. In conformance with the terms of the Annexation
Petition, all property within the territory annexed hereby shall
be subject to all the City's laws and ordinances including
assessment or taxes in payment of any bonds issued or debts
contracted prior to or existing at the date of annexation.
Section 4. This Ordinance is subject to approval by the
Kitsap County Boundary Review Board and shall take effect ten days
following passage and publication, or the final date of approval by
Boundary Review Board, whichever occurs later.
A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filled with the
Kitsap County Commissioners, State of Washington, as otherwise
provided by law.
