AN ORDINANCE amending the Official ~oning ~ap of the Cit~ of
Bremerton for the Pendergast Regional Park.
WHEREAS, The Bremerton Parks and Recreation Department
requested City approval of a Rezone of the subject property from
"Forest Management" to "Parks and Schools" to construct a regional
sports complex known as Pendergast Park to be located on a 50 acre
site south of Werner Road and West of Union Avenue; and
WHEREAS, a component of the Rezone was to amend the
Comprehensive Plan Map from "Residential 0-7 dwelling units per
acre" to "Parks and Open Space" which was amended; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on
March 16, 1993, after which the Commission recommended City Council
approval of the Rezone and Comprehensive Plan Amendment of the
subject property; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton City Council, following its public
hearing on March , 1993, approved the Rezone and Comprehensive
Plan Amendment: now therefore
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Bremerton
is hereby amended to rezone the 50 acre park site that is currently
within the City limits, from Forest Management (FM)" to "Parks and
School (PS)", as shown in Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein.
