HomeMy WebLinkAbout4303 -~ FILED ~4P~CO~D ~ C) AN ORDINANCE annexing approximately 2.4 acres known as the Mount CD Zion Baptist Annexation in the vicinity of Sylvan Way and Pine Road CD into the City of Bremerton and zoning said property. WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton, Washington received from the owner of the proposed area a Notice of Intent to commence annexation proceeding; and WHEREAS, an environmental review was conducted in accordance with the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) of a portion of an unincorporated County area that included the proposed Annexation Area, and a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) was issued; and WHEREAS, proper notification has been filed with the Kitsap County Boundary Review Board and approved; and WHEREAS, the City Council approved the proposed annexation on July 25, 1990, subject to the assumption of existing City indebtedness; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Bremerton approved the pre-annexation zoning of 'the subject area; and Wq4F~RF2%~, there was filed with the City Council of the City of Bremerton a Petition for Annexation, conforming to the city Council's requirements as described above, in writing and signed by the owners of more than 75% in value, according to the assessed valuation for general taxation, of the total property for which annexation was petitioned and which is included in the Mount Zion Baptist Church Annexation Area; and 91 02040084 E'[[57G lO17 WHEREAS, the Bremerton city Council conducted a public hearing on December 26, 1990, following proper posting and publication of the hearing notice as required by law, to accept public comments on the annexation petition and accept said petition; NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The territory described in Exhibit "A" and further depicted in the map Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, said property is annexed as a part of the City of Bremerton. Section 2. In conformance with the terms of the Annexation Petition, all property within the territory annexed hereby shall be subject to all the City's laws and ordinances including assessment or taxes in payment of any bonds issued or debts contracted prior to or existing at the date of annexation. Section 3. Property described in Exhibit #1 is zoned multi-family (MF). Section 4. Effective date. This annexation having been approved by the Boundary review board, shall take effect ten days following the passage and publication of this ordinance.
