Kitsap Lake Annexation in the vicinity of Kitsap Way and Northlake
Way into the City of Bremerton and fixing the effective date of
annexation.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton, Washington received from 61
property owners residing in the West Kitsap Lake Neighborhood a
Notice of Intent to commence annexation proceeding; and
WHEREAS, an environmental review was conducted in accordance
with the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) of a portion of an
unincorporated County area that included the proposed Annexation
Area, and a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) was issued on
November 16, 1990; and
WHEREAS, proper notification having been filed with the Kitsap
County Boundary Review Board; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the proposed annexation on
November 7, 1990, subject to the assumption of existing City
indebtedness; and
W~Ei~EAS, there was filed with the City Council of the City of
Bremerton a Petition for Annexation, conforming to the City
Council's requirements as described above, in writing and signed by
the owners of more than 75% in value, according to the assessed
valuation for general taxation, of the total property for which
annexation was petitioned and which is included in the West Kitsap
Lake I. Annexation Area; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton City Council conducted a public hearing
on December 12, 1990, following proper posting and publication of
the hearing notice as required by law, to accept public comments
on the annexation petition and accept said petition, therefore
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON,
WASHINGTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The territory described in Exhibit "1" and
further depicted in maps as Exhibits 2 and 3 attached hereto
and incorporated by reference herein, said property shall be
and constitute a part of the City of Bremerton.
Section 2. In conformance with the terms of the Annexation
Petition, all property within the territory annexed hereby shall
be subject to all the City's laws and ordinances including
assessment or taxes in payment of any bonds issued or debts
contracted prior to or existing at the date of annexation.
Section 3. This Ordinance is subject to approval by the
Kitsap County Boundary Review Board and shall take effect ten days
following passage and publication, or the final date of approval by
Boundary Review Board, whichever occurs later.
A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filled with the
Kitsap County Commissioners, State of Washington, as otherwise
provided by law.

ANNEXATION DESCRIPTION WEST SIDE OF KITSAP LAKE, SOUTH OF NORTH
LAKE WAY, AND NORTH OF NAVY CAMP.
29 OCTOBER, 1990
Beginning at the southwest corner of Sec. 8, T24N, R1E, WM; thence
north along the west line of said Sec. 8 to it's intersection with
the easterly margin of Leber Road; thence northeasterly along the
easterly margin of Leber Road to the west margin or North Lake Way;
thence due east to the east margin of North Lake Way; thence
running southerly and easterly along the east and north margin of
North Lake Way to the west margin of Kitsap Way; thence
northeasterly to the intersection of the northerly margin of Kitsap
Way and the north line of Lot 13 of the Plat of Kitsap Lake Summer
Homes and the existing City Limits line; thence running along the
City Limits line southeasterly along the north margin of Kitsap Way
to its' intersection with the northeasterly extension of the east
line of Lot 3 of said plat; thence southwesterly along said
extension to the south margin of Kitsap Way; thence west along the
City Limits line and the south margin of Kitsap Way to a point 50
ft. easterly of the northwesterly corner of Lot 3 of the Plat of
Kitsap Lake Summer Homes, said point being on the existing City
Limits line; thence southwesterly along a line 50 ft. east of the
west line of said Lot 3, said line being on the existing city
Limits, to the line of navigability of Kitsap Lake; thence westerly
and southerly along the city Limits line and said line of
navigability to a point 510.6 ft. north of the east west centerline
of Sec. 17, T24N, R1E, WM; thence leaving the existing City Limits
line and running west along a line 510.6 ft. north of said center
of Sec. 17 to the west line thereof; thence north along said west
line to the point of beginning.
