AN ORDINANCE amending Land Use Table #9 of the Bremerton Zoning
Ordinance to allow Apparel Manufacturing by Special Use Permit in
the Business Core (BC) zoning district.
WHEREAS, an application was submitted to the City by Johnnie
R. Cary, requesting a Zoning Ordinance text amendment to allow
Apparel Manufacturing by Special Use Permit in the Business Core
(BC) zoning district; and
WHEREAS, an environmental checklist was prepared and
submitted by the applicant, was reviewed by Planning Division
staff, and a Determination of Nonsignificance was issued by the
Director of Community Development on March 2, 1990; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was conducted by the Planning
Commission on March 20, 1990 to accept public comments pertaining
to the requested amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton City Council conducted a public
hearing on April 4, 1990 to accept public comments and consider
the recommendations of the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council agreed with the findings and
conclusions of the Planning Commission that Apparel Manufacturing
is a compatible and appropriate category of uses for the Business
Core zone and should be allowed by Special Use Permit;
now therefore
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
Section 1. Land Use Table #9 of the Bremerton Zoning
Ordinance is hereby amended to allow "Apparel Manufacturing" by
Special Use Permit in the Business Core (BC) zoning district.
