Bremerton for the Kitsap Community Action Program (KCAP)/Bremerton
Parks Department Warren Avenue Play Field land swap located at the
terminus of Broadway Ave. at the south side of lZth Street.
WHEREAS, The Bremerton Parks Department and Kitsap Community
Action Program (KCAP) are trading two parcels of land (one each);
and
WHEREAS, The former park property, parcel "B" which is located
at the terminus of Broadway Ave. at the south side of 12th Street,
will be rezoned from "Parks and School" (PS) to "Central Bremerton
Residential" (CBR) for the development of a duplex by KCAP; and
WHEREAS, The former KCAP property, parcel "A" which is located
adjacent to and northwest of the intersection of Broadway Ave. and
9th ST, will be traded to the Bremerton Parks Department for the
development of an accessory parking lot to the Warren Avenue Play
Field; and
WHEREAS, At the June 20, 1995 Planning Commission hearing, the
Commission recommended that the respective parcels be rezoned from
Central Bremerton Residential to Parks and Schools and vise versa;
and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton City Council, following its public
hearing on July 26, 1995, adopted the Planning Commission's
Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law which is attached hereto
and incorporated herein, and has decided to change the zoning for
the two properties described herein: now therefore
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Bremerton
is hereby amended to rezone:
Parcel "A" which is located adjacent to and northwest of
the intersection of Broadway Ave. and 9th ST, from
"Central Bremerton Residential" (CBR) to "Parks and
Schools" (PS); and
Parcel "B" which is located at the terminus of Broadway
Ave. at the south side of 12th Street, will be rezoned
from "Parks and School" (PS) to "Central Bremerton
Residential" (CBR).
Land within these rezones is described as follows:
Legal Description:
Parcel "A":
Lots 1 and 2 (more or less) of Block 4 of the plat
of Dietzs's Addition to Bremerton as per Plat in
Volume 2 of Plats, Page 57, Records of Kitsap
County, Washington
Parcel "B":
That portion of Lot 3 and 4 of Tract 8, Plat of
Warren Smith's Acre Tracts, as recorded in Vol. 2,
Pg 51, of Plats, Kitsap County, Washington,
described as follows; The west 80 feet of the
south 160 feet of said Lot 3, lying north of llth
Street and south of 12th Street. ALSO the east
127.06 feet of the south 125 feet of said Lot 4.
Except llth Street.
Subject to the following easement: An easement for
ingress and egress and utilities over that portion
lying north of the following described line; said
line being an arc of a curve having a radius of 32
feet, with the center being 8 feet south of the
centerline of 12th Street on the southerly
extension of the centerline of Broadway Ave.
