AN ORDINANCE providing for new Council districts for the
City of Bremerton, and repealing Ordinance #4227.
WHEREAS, the Bremerton City Charter was amended by the voters of the City of
Bremerton to allow the formation of Council districts by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, recent annexations have necessitated the correction of district property
descriptions;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
SECTION 1: Council District #1 of the City of Bremerton shall include:
DISTRICT NO. 1
Precinct Nos. 52, 56, 58 and 159.
SECTION 2: Council District #2 of the City of Bremerton shall include:
DISTRICT NO. 2
Precinct Nos. 48, 54 and 62.
SECTION 3: Council District #3 of the City of Bremerton shall include:
DISTRICT NO. 3
Precinct Nos. 40, 42, 44, 46 and 47.
SECTION 4: Council District #4 of the City of Bremerton shall include:
DISTRICT NO. 4
Precinct Nos. 38 and 1.
SECTION 5: Council District #5 of the City of Bremerton shall include:
DISTRICT NO. 5
Precinct Nos. 5, 7, 9, 11, 19 and 50.
SECTION 6: Council District #6 of the City of Bremerton shall include:
DISTRICT NO. 6
Precinct Nos. 13, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 29.
DISTRICT NO. 7
Precinct Nos. 14, 15, 17, 18, 20 and 23.
SECTION 8: Council District #8 of the City of Bremerton shall include:
DISTRICT NO. 8
Precinct Nos. 21, 31, 32, 34, 41, 49, 51 and 88.
SECTION 9: Council District #9 of the City of Bremerton shall include:
DISTRICT NO. 9
Precinct Nos. 33, 37, and 109.
SECTION 10: The City Clerk shall maintain an official Council District map attached as
Exhibit "A" and by reference incorporated herein, which shall illustrate the areas included in each
City Council District by this Ordinance or as hereafter amended.
SECTION 11: These districts shall be formed as of the effective date of this Ordinance
for purposes of the 1995 primary and general elections. Formation of these districts shall not
have any effect upon the current Bremerton City Council.
SECTION 12: Effective date: This Ordinance shall take effect 10 days after passage and
publication.
