AN ORDINANCE annexing an area known as the Alpine Area and fixing the effective date of
annexation.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton, Washington received from the property owners of a
7.00 acres area, lying southwest of Bremerton City limits in the Bremerton Sludge application
area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the 10% Petition for the Alpine Area Annexation
on January 25, 1995, and required the area to assume a proportionate share of existing City
indebtedness and to have land use designations determined by pre-annexation zoning; and
WHEREAS, the Bremerton city Council conducted a public hearing on February 1, 1995,
following proper posting and publication of the hearing as required by law, to accept public
comments on the annexation petition and accept said; now therefore:
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN THE FOLLOWING:
Section 1. The territory described and further depicted in Exhibit "A" and attached
hereto and incorporated by reference herein shall be and constitute a part of the City of
Bremerton.
Section 2. In conformance with the terms of the Annexation Petition all property
within the territory annexed hereby shall be subject to all the city's laws and ordinances including
the assessment or taxes in payment of any bonds issued or debts contracted prior to or existing a
the date of annexation.
Section 3. Said territory hereby annexed shall be zoned Industrial General (IG) and
the official zoning map of the City of Bremerton shall be amended accordingly.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect ten days following passage and publication.
The City Clerk shall certify this annexation ordinance with the Kitsap County Commissioners
following final approval of the Kitsap County Boundary Review Board. If the Annexation is not
approved by the Kitsap County Boundary Review Board, this Ordinance shall become null and
void on the date of said final decision.
