AN ORDINANCE closing a portion of Montgomery Street between 9th Street
and 1 lth Street.
WHEREAS, the City may limit the utilization of any fight of way provided there are
alternate routes for vehicular movement without undue inconvenience and the public
interest and safety are served; and
WHEREAS, City Council by resolution announced its intention to limit vehicular
traffic on Montgomery Street between the intersections of 9th Street and l lth Street to
traffic accessing properties abutting Montgomery Street between said intersections and
setting a public hearing on the street closure; and
WHEREAS, public testimony was taken on August 3, 1994 and the Council finds,
based on the traffic study filed with the Council by the City Engineer, that the public
interest is best served by closing this portion of Montgomery Street to local access only, and
that other vehicular traffic not using this fight of way have alternate routes which can be
used without undue inconvenience; now, therefore,
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Montgomery Street in the City of Bremerton is closed at the
intersection of 1 lth Street to through traffic.
