ORDINANCE NO. /7//7//r/.~'
AN ORDINANCE allowing private educational facilities to operate within the
Central Bremerton Residential (CBR) and Shopping Center (SC) zones by Special
Use Permit (SUP) and amending Chapter 21.02 of the Bremerton Municipal Code.
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the Bremerton Zoning Ordinance in October
1988; and
WHEREAS, currently the CBR zone and the SC zones are the only residential and
commercial districts respectively that do not allow the "Private Educational Facility" use
either outright or by SUP; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed amendment would not result
in any inconsistency with zoning provisions; that the CBR and SC zones are subject to
essentially the same types of regulations to which other residential and commercial zones are
subject, which districts all allow the private educational facility use, and that the use is
appropriate through approval of a Special Use Permit; now, therefore,
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
Section 1. Amendment: Chapter 21.02.340, Land Use Table 3, is hereby amended
according to Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2. Effective Date: This ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days from
passage and publication.
