Section 2.76.100 is hereby amended to read as follows: 2.76.100 GENERAL PURCHASES - UNDER $!0,000.0020.000.00. (a) A department manager or designee, acting within their department budget appropriation, may authorize the purchase of goods, materials and equipment, or the lease or rental of equipment costing less than $! 0,000.0020.000.00. Projects or purchases may not be divided into units or phases to avoid bid call requirements. (b) If the cost is less than $~,O,OOO.OO20.000.00, the Purchasing Of-ricer has the authority to determine whether the acquisition is made in the best interests of the City through the use of telephonic or facsimile quotations, sealed quotation or formal bid call. Section 2. Amendment. Section 2.76.200 is hereby amended to read as follows: 2.76.200 FORMAL BID-OVERS:O,0O0.0020.000.O0. (a) The procurement of goods, materials or equipment for which the cost of a single item or a quantity of 8 single item is in excess of Ten Thous,~d ¥'~.ousan¢~ ©oiiars ,S20.300.©01~, inclucing sales transaction taxes, shall be by bid call. Section 3. Amendment. Section 2.76.300 is hereby amended to read as follows: 2.76.300 PROFESSIONAL AND PURCHASED SERVICES. (3) All professional and purchased services utilized by the City from S.-0~ to Ss,OOO.OOlO.0OO.OO in value may be by purchase order and letter of understanding. Professional and Purchased Service Agreements in excess of $5,000.0010.000.00, but less than $!0,000.002©.000.00, require a formal contract and approval by the Mayor anc memorandum informinq the Council. Professional and Purchased Service Agreements in excess of $10,000.0020.000.00 require Council approval. Section 4. Effective Date.
